Yara is a friendly capybara with a teal scarf and a yellow flower behind her ear, and all she wants is a warm bath. High up on the rock a hot spring is bubbling, and between the spring and the tub lies a jumble of bamboo pipes. Your child taps the pipes to turn them, watches the blue water creep forward, and cheers when it splashes into the bath. Free to play, with no ads in the game and no sign-up.

How to play

  1. Tap a bamboo pipe to turn it.
  2. Join the pipes from the warm spring at the top to the bath at the bottom. The water shows you how far it has come.
  3. Lead the water past the mandarins to float them into the bath.
  4. Stuck? Wait a moment and the next pipe to turn will shine.
  5. Mandarins bring new animal friends to the bath.

Controls

  • Tap or click a pipe to give it a quarter turn. Tap again to keep turning.
  • Keyboard: arrow keys move between the pipes, Space or Enter turns the chosen pipe.
  • The sound button turns the soft bamboo and water sounds on or off. Sound is off until you switch it on.

Tips and strategy

  • Start at the spring and follow the water. The pipes that are already wet turn blue, so you can always see the next pipe to fix.
  • Each tile can always be turned back: four taps bring any pipe to where it started, so nothing can go wrong.
  • Try to send the water past the mandarins. When the water touches one, it bobs happily and floats along into the bath.
  • If you wait a few seconds without tapping, the next pipe that needs turning starts to shine. This help is always free.
  • Older children can try to fill a bath with as few turns as possible. Your fewest turns are saved for each size.

Game modes and difficulty

There are four sizes: 3×3, 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6 pipes. The very first bath needs only two pipes turned, so little ones win right away. After two baths the next bath grows a size, unless you choose a size yourself, which you can do at any time. There is no timer and no way to lose.

History and background

Pipe puzzles train planning and spatial thinking: children learn to look ahead and to imagine how a shape will fit once it is turned. Real capybaras are famously calm and sociable animals from South America. They spend much of the day in the water, and other animals often rest beside them, which is why the bath in this game slowly fills with friends.

Mandarins are never spent, so every bath brings the next friend closer: a duckling, a turtle, a frog, a bunny, a kitten and a monkey. Yara, her friends and the bamboo are all drawn in code. Progress is saved only in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What age is this capybara game for?

It suits children from about 4 to 10. The 3×3 size is easy for small children, and the 6×6 size with its branching pipes gives older children a real puzzle.

Can my child lose?

No. There is no timer and no limit on turns. Every finished bath earns at least one mandarin, and nothing is ever taken away.

Are there ads or purchases in the game?

There are no ads in the game, no purchases and no sign-up. Progress stays on your device, and sound is off until you switch it on.

What do the mandarins do?

They add up over time and invite new animal friends into Yara’s bath. There are six friends to meet, and you keep them all.
