Ondi’s Bubble Rescue

Help Ondi the little octopus free sea friends from rising bubbles: find the crab, the whale or the striped fish, bring them home and grow your reef.

Deep in a sunny sea, little friends are stuck in bubbles. Ondi the octopus shows which friend to look for, a crab, a whale, a seahorse or a striped fish, as a big picture with its name. Your child pops the matching bubbles, and each freed friend swims happily down to the reef. It is a calm game about looking closely at shapes and patterns, made for small hands and young eyes. Free to play, with no ads in the game and no sign-up.

How to play

  1. Look at the sea friend Ondi shows at the top.
  2. Tap or click the bubbles with that friend inside to free it.
  3. Other bubbles just float away, so take your time.
  4. Free 3 friends of each kind, then Ondi asks for a new one.
  5. Rescue more friends to add treasures to your reef.

Controls

  • Tap or click a bubble to pop it. When bubbles overlap, the friend Ondi asks for is chosen first.
  • Keyboard: arrow keys move a marker from bubble to bubble, Space or Enter pops the marked bubble.
  • P or Escape pauses the game. It also pauses by itself when you switch to another tab.

Tips and strategy

  • Look at the picture at the top: it always shows the friend to free, so children who cannot read yet can play too.
  • There is no timer. Bubbles with other friends just float away, and more bubbles keep coming.
  • Tapping a different friend never ends the game. The bubble gives a little wobble and the right bubbles get a soft yellow ring as a hint.
  • Freeing several friends in a row gives a few extra points, and golden pearl bubbles add 5 points.
  • On the higher levels, look at the fish closely: striped, spotted and zigzag fish have the same shape but different patterns.
  • Every rescued friend counts toward new reef treasures, such as seaweed, a sandcastle and rainbow coral.

Game modes and difficulty

Easy has 5 very different sea friends and big bubbles. Medium adds the seahorse, the pufferfish and two patterned fish. Hard uses all 12 friends, with look-alike fish side by side. In each dive Ondi asks for 6 friends, 3 of each, and the bubbles rise a little faster as the dive goes on. Your best score is saved for each level on this device.

History and background

Spotting the one picture that matches is one of the first puzzles young children enjoy, and it trains attention to shape, colour and pattern. Ondi’s Bubble Rescue wraps that classic matching idea in a gentle under-the-sea story where every correct tap helps a friend get home.

Ondi, the sea friends and the reef are drawn in code, with no photos or downloads. Sound is off until you turn it on, and progress stays only in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What age is this game for?

It suits children from about 3 to 7. Easy mode works well for toddlers learning sea animal names, and Hard mode with look-alike fish is a nice challenge for older kids.

Can my child lose?

No. There is no timer and no lives. Wrong taps only make the bubble wobble, and every dive ends with a small celebration.

What are the reef treasures?

Each rescued friend is counted. At 10, 25, 45 friends and more, a new treasure appears on the reef, up to 8 in total. Nothing is bought, they are simply earned by playing.

Is it free and safe?

Yes. It is free, with no ads or purchases in the game and no account. Scores and treasures are saved only on your device.
