Zumi’s Parking Puzzle is a free car sliding puzzle for kids. Zumi, a little round car with big eyes, is stuck in a busy toy parking lot at sunset. Cars, buses and trucks with friendly faces block the way, and each one can only roll forward or back along its own lane. Slide them aside, open the road and drive Zumi out to the green flag. It works in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.
How to play
- Help Zumi, the little round car, drive out to the green flag.
- Drag a car, bus or truck forward or back. Each one only moves along its own road.
- Or tap a vehicle, then tap a free spot or use the arrow keys.
- Stuck? Tap Hint, Undo or Start over.
- Win stars and unlock new looks for Zumi.
Controls
- Drag a vehicle with your finger or the mouse. It slides along its lane and stops at the next vehicle or the wall.
- Or tap a vehicle to choose it, then tap a free square in its lane, or press the arrow keys to move it one square at a time.
- Use Undo to take back a move, Start over to reset the puzzle, and Hint to see the next good move. Keyboard: U undoes, R starts over, H shows a hint.
Tips and strategy
- First look at Zumi’s row. Which vehicles stand between Zumi and the green flag?
- A vehicle in the way can only move up or down. Check where it has room, and clear that space first.
- Long buses and trucks need three free squares, so they often have to go to the very top or bottom.
- When the arrows on the road turn green, the way is clear. Slide Zumi all the way to the exit!
- Want three stars? Try to solve the puzzle in as few moves as possible. Moving the same vehicle twice in a row still counts as one move.
- Stuck? Tap Hint. The vehicle to move wiggles, and a dotted outline shows where it should go.
Game modes and difficulty
There are 30 hand-checked puzzles. The first ones need only one or two moves on a small 5×5 lot, so even five-year-olds can win right away. Later puzzles use a bigger 6×6 lot with more buses and trucks. Every solved puzzle earns one to three stars depending on your moves, and stars unlock new colours and hats for Zumi.
History and background
Sliding-block puzzles are more than a hundred years old. Players move pieces inside a frame, without lifting them, to free one special piece. Puzzles with cars in a parking lot turn this old idea into something children recognise at once: a traffic jam that needs untangling.
Every puzzle in Zumi’s Parking Puzzle was checked by a computer solver, so each one can be solved, and the best number of moves is known. Zumi and the toy town were made just for Gemuzi. There are no ads inside the game area, nothing to buy, no timers and no account.
