Poppy the fox cub holds up a balloon and asks for a color. Balloons float up from the meadow, and your child taps the ones that match. Each color is shown as a big balloon swatch next to its name, so even children who cannot read yet know exactly what to look for. It is a calm, cheerful way to learn color names, practice quick looking and enjoy the pop of a balloon. Free to play, with no ads in the game and no sign-up.
How to play
- Look at the color Poppy shows at the top.
- Tap or click the balloons of that color to pop them.
- Pop 3 balloons of each color, then a new color comes.
- A golden star balloon gives 3 bonus stars.
- Use your stars to unlock new balloon patterns.
Controls
- Tap or click a balloon to pop it. Overlapping balloons are forgiving: the asked color is chosen first.
- Keyboard: arrow keys move a marker from balloon to balloon, Space or Enter pops it.
- P or Escape pauses the game. It also pauses by itself when you switch tabs.
Tips and strategy
- Look at the swatch at the top and at the balloon Poppy holds: both always show the color to find.
- Pop 3 balloons of a color and a new color arrives. Six colors make one balloon party.
- A different color never ends the game. The balloon just wiggles and the right balloons get a soft ring, so your child can try again.
- Popping several right balloons in a row raises the points per balloon. The longest streak is shown at the end.
- Golden star balloons give 3 bonus stars and never break a streak.
- Save stars to unlock balloon patterns such as polka dots, hearts, zigzags and smiles.

History and background
Sorting and naming colors is one of the first learning games young children enjoy, and balloons are a natural fit: bright, round and fun to pop. Poppy’s Color Balloons turns the classic “find the color” activity into a short game with gentle rewards.
Poppy and her world are drawn in code, with no photos or downloads. Sound is off until you turn it on, and when it is on, the game can say the color names with your browser’s own voice.
