Bumi’s Honey Meadow is a free, calm bee game for kids. Bumi is a round little bumblebee with goggles who lives in a straw hive. Tap or click anywhere and she flies there. Visit the softly glowing flowers to collect pollen, then carry a full pouch back to the hive. Every five grains make a jar of honey, and filling all the jars finishes the level. There is no timer and no game over.
How to play
- Tap or click anywhere in the meadow and Bumi flies there. You can also drag your finger or use the arrow keys.
- Fly to a glowing flower to pick up its pollen. Bumi can carry 5 grains.
- When the pouch is full, fly back to the hive. Press Space to fly home quickly.
- Every 5 grains make a jar of honey. Fill all the jars to finish the level.
- Dandelion puffs give you a little push and sleepy spider webs slow you down for a moment. Nothing bad ever happens!
Controls
- Phone or tablet: tap a spot in the meadow and Bumi flies there smoothly. You can also keep your finger down and drag, and she follows it.
- Computer: click a spot, or steer Bumi with the arrow keys or W, A, S, D. Press Space or Enter to fly straight home to the hive.
- Press P or Escape, or the Pause button, to take a break. The game also pauses by itself when you switch tabs.
Tips and strategy
- A flower that glows has pollen. After Bumi visits it, the flower rests for a few seconds and then glows again.
- Watch the five little dots above Bumi: they show how much pollen is in her pouch. When all five are yellow, a dotted line shows the way home.
- You can bring pollen to the hive before the pouch is full. It still counts toward the next jar.
- Fluffy dandelion puffs drift across the meadow and give Bumi a gentle push. Fly around them or just enjoy the whoosh.
- Sleepy spider webs slow Bumi down for a moment. The spider never wakes up, and Bumi never loses her pollen.
Game modes and difficulty
Every level starts with a fresh meadow. Level 1 has five flowers and two jars to fill. Later levels add more flowers that are further apart, a few dandelion puffs and, from level 3, sleepy spider webs, and ask for up to five jars. Your level is remembered, so you can carry on next time, or start again from level 1 whenever you like.
History and background
Real bees collect pollen and nectar from flowers and bring them home to the hive. This game turns that busy trip into something a young child understands without reading: fly to a glowing flower, then fly home. It gently practises planning a route, counting to five and finishing a goal.
Bumi and her meadow were made just for Gemuzi, with soft colours, slow movements and no flashing. Every jar of honey counts toward seven outfits for Bumi, such as a daisy crown, a pilot hat and rainbow wings. Outfits are never bought: they unlock when enough honey has been made.
