Bipo’s Star Rocket is a free space game for kids that you play with one button. Bipo, a little robot astronaut, flies a rocket past planets and moons. Hold to rise, let go to float down, and steer through wide glowing star gates while you collect shiny stars. Bumps never end the game straight away: they only pop one of three shield bubbles. Spend your stars on new rockets and robot friends. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.
How to play
- Hold the screen, the mouse or Space to fly up.
- Let go and the rocket floats down gently.
- Fly through the glowing star gates for bonus stars.
- A bump on a space rock or a gate post costs one shield bubble.
- Use your stars to unlock new rockets and robot friends.
Controls
- Hold your finger on the game, hold the mouse button, or hold Space, the Up arrow or W to fly up.
- Let go and the rocket drifts down gently. It softly bounces off the moon and the top of the sky.
- Press P or Escape, or the Pause button, to take a break. The game also pauses by itself when you switch tabs.
Tips and strategy
- Short holds make small hops up. Long holds make the rocket climb fast.
- Line up with the middle of a star gate early, then just float through. Each gate gives 2 bonus stars.
- Stars often curve around a space rock on its open side. Follow the stars and you will fly past the rock.
- A blue moon gem is worth 5 stars.
- Lost a shield? Look out for a floating shield bubble to get it back.
- Later on, some rocks drift slowly up and down. Watch which way they move before you pass.
Game modes and difficulty
Every flight starts slowly and speeds up very gently, and the star gates stay wide, so young children can learn at their own pace. You have three shield bubbles per flight. Cheers pop up at 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 km, and your best distance is saved on your device. The sky slowly changes colour on long trips.
History and background
Flying games where you hold a button to climb and let go to sink are a simple, classic kind of game. They train timing, gentle control and hand-eye coordination, and children quickly feel that they are in charge of the rocket.
Bipo and the robot crew were made just for Gemuzi, with soft colours, no flashing and no pressure. There are no ads inside the game area, nothing to buy, no timers and no account. Stars and friends are stored only in your own browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is Bipo’s Star Rocket free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no in-game purchases and no ads inside the game area.
What age is it for?
It is made for children from about 4 to 10. One button is all you need, and bumps only cost a shield, so little pilots are not punished for mistakes.
How do I unlock new rockets?
Collect stars while you fly. When you have enough, tap a card under the game to unlock a new rocket and robot friend. They all fly the same, so it is just for fun.
Does it collect any personal data?
