Suri’s Spot the Difference

Look closely with Suri the meerkat explorer: two pictures, almost the same. Tap the things that are different!

Suri is a curious little meerkat explorer with a sun hat and a big magnifying glass. She shows your child two pictures that look the same: a park, a beach, a farm and more. But a few things are different! Tap a difference in either picture and Suri circles it in both. Every picture is freshly built from colorful parts, so no two games are the same. Free to play, with no ads in the game and no sign-up.

How to play

  1. Look at the two pictures. They are almost the same, but a few things are different.
  2. Tap a difference in either picture: Suri circles it in both.
  3. A color changed, something is missing, something new appeared, or something got bigger, smaller or turned around.
  4. Stuck? After a while the hint button appears and makes a spot sparkle.
  5. Earn stars for every picture and open new places: beach, farm, kitchen, space station and toy room.

Controls

  • Tap or click on something that is different, in the top or bottom picture (left or right on a big screen).
  • Keyboard: the arrow keys move a dotted frame over the picture, Enter or Space checks that spot, and H uses a hint when the hint button is shown.
  • The sound button turns the soft sounds on or off. Sound is off until you switch it on.

Tips and strategy

  • Look at one part of the picture at a time: first the sky, then the middle, then the ground.
  • Differences can be a new color, a missing thing, an extra thing, something bigger or smaller, or something turned the other way.
  • Compare the same spot in both pictures, back and forth, like Suri with her magnifying glass.
  • A wrong tap is no problem: the picture just wiggles a little, and you can keep looking.
  • Stuck? After a while, or after a few tries, the hint button appears and makes an area sparkle softly.
  • No hints gives 3 stars, but every finished picture earns at least one star. Stars open new places.

Game modes and difficulty

Easy has 3 big, clear differences in large pictures with fewer things, for little ones. Tricky has 5 differences in busier pictures, including size changes and things turned around. There are six places: park, beach, farm, kitchen, space station and toy room. New places open with stars. There is no timer while you play; your time is shown at the end just as a fun fact.

History and background

Spot-the-difference puzzles have been a favorite in children’s magazines and activity books for many years. They train careful looking, attention and patience, and kids love the moment they spot something.

In this version every picture is generated on the spot from hand-made shapes like trees, boats, cakes, robots and teddy bears, and Suri is drawn in code too. Stars, places and your fastest times are saved only in your browser.
